This photo has experienced a festival in similar physical conditions as we all have: shaken about dancing at 3 am, sweating profusely in the baked morning-sun tent, draped in plastic coat keeping the rain at bay, drink-sodden clothes, bruised from bumping through the crowds, and the build-up of grime after not washing for 5 days. The intention was to create a series of images that not just conveyed the festival experience, but experienced it first hand and proudly wore the battle scars.

Taken on a Bronica SQB with a polaroid back, using peel-apart instant film. After taking a photo and developing the polaroid print, I stored the other side, which contains a negative, within individual plastic baggies. I kept these baggies in my day bag that stayed with me throughout the festival. When I returned home I washed each of them to reveal the negative and to see how each one displayed unique visual degradation.
